Become a member to play a part in creating a better future for ourselves, our children and the country we all share. We’re the only party in Ireland where members have a direct say in decisions, contribute to policy developments and decide who stands for election. You can get involved in whatever way suits you, for as long as long as it suits you.

Annual membership of the Green Party is €20 for waged or €10 for unwaged individuals. Membership payments are collected upon joining and annually thereafter. Don’t worry you can cancel your membership subscription at any time!

Communications preferences

As a Member of the Green Party you get a direct say in all key decisions in the Party. This requires us to communicate with you by email and occasionally by phone or post. about what’s happening in the Party at both local and national level.

Email is our primary communication tool for keeping our members informed, and some emails about key party decisions are an essential part of membership.
Phone contact is really important to our work. We use phone numbers for increasing our activism and communication through apps. We occasionally use phone numbers to call and text members about activities in the party or their local group, and to facilitate candidates seeking support at selection conventions.
We occasionally send items by post, such as membership cards as well as important party information. Some of these communications are essential for administering your membership and for core party operations.
